My name is Megan Shakley and I am the founder of Limber. I have been a practicing massage therapist since 2008, specializing in injuries, chronic conditions, as well as whole-body wellness and prevention.
I have always been fascinated by the human body. It was this fascination that brought me to The University of Central Florida in 2003, where I studied Athletic Training and Sports Medicine. In 2006, I graduated with dual B.S. degrees in Health Sciences and Sports Medicine. Knowing that I was more interested in a career in manual therapy, I enrolled in the esteemed Florida College of Natural Health 2007 and graduated with an A.S. degree in Massage Therapy & Bodywork. Wanting to take my education further, I graduated from the Advanced Massage Program with an advanced degree in medical massage, with certifications in Neuromuscular, Deep Tissue, Sports, and Prenatal massage.
My massage career began in Orlando, FL where I worked as an independent massage therapist. Five years ago, I made Austin my home and, in addition to Limber, currently work as a massage therapist at the award-winning Lake Austin Spa Resort.
